This quick guide is intended to explain the basics of how the Automation program works and walk you through the first steps. We have added some screenshots from the program to help you.

We wish you good luck with your publications!

Basics

FlippingBook Automation product allows to convert digital documents at scale. Its aim is to help document-intensive businesses turn their PDFs into readable and beautiful HTML5 digital documents without manual work.

How it works in 3 steps:

 PDFs are uploaded into the folder monitored by FlippingBook Automation, a "hot folder"  FlippingBook Automation detects the PDF and converts it into HTML5 documents  The output HTML5 files are now ready to be uploaded to the website.

Hot folder is monitored constantly, with just seconds between the PDF loaded to folder and the start of the conversion process.

If multiple PDFs are loaded to the folder they are queued and converted one-by-one with a short pause between each conversion.

Step 1: Install To start using FlippingBook Automation, first install it on your computer:

1

Download the FlippingBook Automation ZIP file to your computer. Export the contents of the archive to C: drive so that the path to the folder will be « C:\Batch ». Please use only this folder on the computer. Open the « C:\Batch » folder and double click on « Service » shortcut. Minimize the window, but do not close completely. Double click on «FlippingBook Server » shortcut. FlippingBook Server window allows to add and edit conversion settings and see the conversion process. Enter your login and password. Information about login and password will be sent to you by the sales manager. Otherwise, please email us at support@flippingbook.com with question about FlippingBook Automation access.
